Made lots of progress with this but haven't had time to properly W.I.P it. This is the sculpt, it's mostly just fur stamps made with scanned pencil drawings. Refined the control rig and got some texturing worked out. Painted with Blender tex paint / layered version assembled with Krita...

Got pretty far with this, need to make a tongue and smile blendshape. Mesh seems to be deforming OK with bones, just going to add controllers for eyes. Might get texturing started.

A little progress, I like having a rough build scale so decided 600mm to top of body, 1m to top of eye The usual subdivision surfaces, all quads (if poss), try to keep poles to a minimum and in tucked away areas

If in doubt go cute! Works for Disney :) Topology sketch gets mesh started, I want adjacent eye and mouth loops. Going to need some cuts for ear attach and eye shape, antlers are maybe a bit too adult.
