Zathros has asked me to create some tutorials for Photoshop to help members with problems.

Always glad to help. I don't always know, and if I don't I'll look for the answer. I'm working on a recolor of Fiddler's Green "Pedal Car" and I'm adding custom Joker decals and a "layered" (3D layers glued to give it a 3D effect) Joker on the grille. I'll work on it as a tutorial in Photoshop...

It looks like they did a layer over the original art and set the layer to darken with a gradient between two shades of gray. Then they added another layer over that with gradient rectangles and squares laid out in patterns. You can also find free aluminum textures online, make a selection of the...

Heres another addition to the Joker artwork. This one is is another version of the Jester Joker from the side. He might end up on my repaint of Fiddler's Green pedal-car. If it turns out good I'll use it as a prop to go with the Joker's Circus of Crime or the Joker's Carnival.

Zathros has asked me to create some tutorials for Photoshop to help members with problems.

I took a class in GIMP but I had worked in Photoshop for to many years and it works totally different. GIMP is powerful but sometimes to me you have to work harder to get the same thing done in Photoshop. I have been a commercial artist for too long and worked with the Adobe products. I have...

Zathros has asked me to create some tutorials for Photoshop to help members with problems.

Sometimes the clone tool is easier. Time consuming but I have had to do that. Sometimes you can use a layer set to "darken only", "lighten only", or one of the other settings and a paint brush or airbrush to "feather" the paint some. I use a layer and name it "cleanup" to work over a photo so I...

Gandolf5o you will have to post a photo of what you are talking about. Not exactly sure what you are referring too. But I will try and help you with it.

Zathros has asked me to create some tutorials for Photoshop to help members with problems.

Hey Revell-Fan! since I have enjoyed building models you and others have created over the years, I'm glad to help out any way I can. I've recolored quite a few models as well. Will be posting some new action figure displays I'm working on soon. I work in card-stock, chipboard, corrugated...

Any Doc Savage Fans here? I need some input.

I don't know if we have any Doc Savage Fans here. I need some input. Finally found all 181 original pulp stories online as epub books. Started reading then about a month ago and have finished 15 of them so far. Loved them as a teen when they first came out in paperback books in the 1960s. I've...

Lee Clifton "The Joker" works of Art

Hey Guys thanks for all of the kind comments. And Zathros thanks for combining all of my "JOKER" concepts into one post. I added a couple of more graphics. One is the original photos that I started with and the second is a Joker's Car concept poster photo composite.

Thanks Zathros! Hope to take the Joker Mask redesign and use it for "Uncle Joker's Video Arcade". I'm working on a diorama/action figure display for my adult son called "Ace's KISS Arcade" to display his loose KISS figures. I figured a few changes and it can be the Joker's.

Thanks Rhaven! This one took me quite a while to get right. These will make great signs and posters for making Joker related action figure displays.

Thanks Rhaven! It took me a while on this one to make it look right. Especially the teeth and the hair. He would make a great Joker head to go on the front of a car. I couldn't make him 3D like a real paper model, but I could layer him and curve the final to place him over the grill of the car...

Lee Clifton "The Joker" works of Art

Thanks Rhaven! I'm planning on an action figure display for one or both of them. I've got the research photos of the old Marx Tin Circus displays from the 1950s to use for ideas. They even have the old tin sideshow runways. I'll use them for inspiration and make up my own textures.

Lee Clifton "The Joker" works of Art

I started out with the Evil Jester photo on the left which I found on the internet. I cleaned it up, altered it to look more like the Joker and repainted it. Heres the Joker's Circus of Crime poster that I may use in an action figure display. And heres a second version of the Joker's...

Lee Clifton "The Joker" works of Art

The photo on the left is an over the head Joker Mask photo I found on the internet. The photo on the right I photo retouched into a full faced Joker. I haven't decided what I'll use this one for yet.

Lee Clifton "The Joker" works of Art

I've been working on this one to use for a Joker's Carnival action figure display. The original comic book cover I found on the internet on the left and the cleaned up and repainted version is on the right. Heres the Joker's Carnival poster. Recolored the background and made the text.

I don't always work in Photoshop. This was drawn out on corrugated cardboard about 4 feet tall, the area around the Joker was cutout out with an X-acto and pealed away to reveal the corrugated ribs and painted. The rest was hand painting, and airbrush.

Two versions of a Captain America Star Spangled Avenger P-51 Mustang

Zathros if you need any help just ask. Photoshop is my favorite program and I have taught it twice at two different community colleges. The thing about Photoshop is that there are several different ways to just about anything. I've also used Illustrator for many years. Sometimes for me its just...
