    Hi LIRR, Nope, dosen't sound like a bad idea to me. As with most all modelers, it's what ever floats your boat. :D Now you should see my track plan. I got 114 feet of HO track in a 5' x 8' logging layout. Now who is nuts here? ;) TrainClown :)

    Another Question About Cutting Foam

    I shape foam with no troubles and I use an ordinary wire brush. I just scratch away in one spot and the foam flies. Once I get to the basic shape I like, then I sand it smooth with 80 grit sand paper. This would be the cheapest and fastest way to cut your trench. TrainClown
