Unfortunately Athearns don't list them anymore (presumably they're out of production). Of course, there are silver-colored Overnite boxcars (the later livery) - do your friend's boxcars have black bodies and silver roofs, or are they silver all over? Thanks for the info anyway!:thumb:

I was thinking (:rolleyes: ) that in a G Scale Railway, some of the G Scale inhabitants might want to have their own Garden Railway. In which case, a Z scale layout would work as a fairly large garden railway for one's G Scale people. Has anyone ever done this, or thought about it? :wave:

Great for a Welsh exile like me to see these pics. Folk might like to know as well, that the Ffestiniog RR is rebuilding its sister line (the Welsh Highland Light Railway), which will be over 20 miles long and reach from Caernarfon to Porthmadog (Ffestiniog RR goes from Porthmadog to Blaenau...

Just a thought - if you combined the two scales, then the N trackwork could act as a really large Garden Railway for the G people living in your G layout.....

Can anyone explain how the SP Single Color Light signals are used? If you have only one lamp, how do you show red/orange/green? Did they always come with one lamp above a second? - and if so, were two colors used together to mark a particular state of the road? Any help welcome on this!
