@Revell-Fan has given you a great resource for the humble pulse rifle. I do know a few people who have built full size 3d printed models and researched the correct sling and D-Rings used - I will reach out to them and find out what they used. In the meantime you reminded me of a small project...

If you're uncertain as to whether you have weathered your model too much, or too little - you could do two versions. Factory fresh, for those who like it clean or down and dirty.... Perhaps a tonal panel appearance would be better, than adding weathering??? Personally I like to add a splash...
