ACTRR my be dismantled and re-constructed

Your backgrounds are fantastic! Do you hire out? Ever been to Boston? Is there a special technique that you use for the clouds? I just can't seem to get it right.wall1

    Newbie Problem

Yes you are missing something. O gauge 3 rail is AC and N gauge is DC, You need a DC transformer, If you keep applying AC power to your engines, you might damage them.

ACTRR my be dismantled and re-constructed

I noticed that you are using the double track curves. Are those the super-elevated ones? Also did you use the easement curves as well? Did you need to extend the turnout control wires? Thanks!

ACTRR my be dismantled and re-constructed

Looks like a fine layout. What did you use to do the drawing? I am doing a N layout with Kato Unitrack as well and would like to get my ideas down on paper before I start laying track. Thanks in advance!

Bend Track Beginning in N Scale

OK so I'm beginning to move ahead. I will probably never use my modules though with a club or other bend trackers as I haven't seen any interest here in the state of Mass. I decided to use hollow core doors as my base. I will keep the original 48" height and use the track spacing as laid out...

    Bend Track modules update

I didn't want to steal this thread so I've started another called bend track beginnings. No pictures or anything, just discussion as I build my bend track modules.

    Starting Over in N Scale

OK so I decided to go with the bend track modular system. You can find a write up in the modular section. I going to use modified hollow core doors as the bases. Any ideas?

    Bend Track modules update

I've only got 10'x13' to play with so I might have to "bend" the rules a bit. I'll have to start playing around with some drawings. The 24" has real possibility for my small space.

    Bend Track modules update

This is really cool! I've never seen bend track before. Could you do this with Unitrack?

    Starting Over in N Scale

Hi all, I'm starting over in N Scale as I used to model in HO. I really don't have the room for HO. I have a small room 10'x16'. I plan on using Kato Unitrack, I know it's expensive, but it's bullet proof. Does anyone know where I can get Unitrack plans aside from the Kato website (very...

Track - Atlas versus Peco or Micro Engineering

I've just started back into the hobby myself and I'm going with Kato. I realize it's a bid more expensive, but it works flawlessly. I'd rather wait a bit to build up my supply and then do the layout. I have the same issue with space. so what I am able to do I want it to work right the first...

My Work Bench and storage room, what I am up to

Looks like you'll be busy for quite some time. Are all the boxes full on the sides of the work bench? Glad to see I'm not the only one with a million projects!

    Layout Ideas

Railbuilder, I just went on the site and they have some good guides. I think since this will only be my layout I would still continue using code 100 since I have so many Rivarossi steam engines that I've re-motored. I hate to get rid of them since I found them to be so reliable. I don't have...

    Layout Ideas

Hopefully going forward the new house will either have a basement or extra room without obstruction, at least that's what I'll be looking for. I would really like to stick to a standard 2'x4' straight module and obviously something bigger for the curve sections. For now everything is on hold, no...

    Layout Ideas

No Layout Again! As it turns out I started buying materials and then we decided to put the house back up for sale. So no layout again, but that's OK for now. Oh well, maybe the next place will have a better basement.
