The cockpit is glued in right now and the cockpit framing is attached... No more white spots The next phase will be building the canopy itself. I decided to do the complete nose assembly later for easier handlich of the model. I use to do the fiddly parts mostly at the end of the build. The...

A tiny update. The cockpit section is glued together and drying now. The stick (attached with a drip of super glue) was for positioning the front 4 former correctly and will be removed when the section is dry. Next Step is attaching the cockpit frame, then completing the nose and attach the...

Thank you Dan, really appreciate that! So... progress for today was a part of the front fuselage with inserting (but not yet glueing) the cockpit in its place. The parts fell together very well the only change I did was that I did not use the stopper strips Yoav provided to setting the formers...

Thank you all for your nice comments :) Continuing the rear fuselage... I just finished the rear fuselage segments (and the white glue is drying completely). On one pic you can see a fuselage segment with a tiny magnet in it attaching the part to our regulars table sign. And on one other the...

Got a bit further. Just completed the rear fuselage setions. I still have to sand some formers slightly to get an exact fit but the parts fell together very easily. On the second pic the fuselage parts are put together without glue. Just note the fit. It is almost perfect! I hope I will have...

    De Hawiland-88 "Comet" (testing)

Great looking model of a very special and sleek aircraft. Keep up the good work. I second the question about where to get the kit.

Back into the game After cutting out all the rear fuselage section parts I started with the tail cone regarding Yoavs advice to build this part first to ensure mathing of the following parts. After drying the Exhaust nozzle will be glued on and the first tail section part is ready.

Thank you Tonino. I also found this one :) Well I did it quick and dirty and took a cut off black painted toothpick as a throttle stick ;)

    I wanna try the LM...

Are the legs double sided? In that case you could use some thin wire (0.3 mm or 0.2 mm) where you glue the legs around. I would prefer that option or the third one. Maybe you can settle the finished LM on a small ring of clear plasic like UHU did it with his Aries 1B. Just some suggestions.

I fiddled around with the cockpit a bit. Only thing I found missing is a throttle stick. I think I will hunt for some pics and do a scratch one.

Today I built the exhaust. I added some step by step photos and the finished exhaust. I really like the solution Yoav did for the feathers. The folded edge really adds some 3D realistic touch. I had to shorten the outer ring by approximately 1 mm to match the diameter. I did the same for the...

Well Tonino... You do not recognize the "magic formers"? :D As a matter of fact I use bottle caps for diluting my white glue with some water. As I use very tiny amounts of glue normally the caps are perfect to mix some fresh glue with water and glue the next 2 or 3 parts ;) And yes: I love beer :D

I could not keep my fingers still so i built the Ejection Seat. The parts fit very good together. For the seat cushion I had to bend the seat sides a bit outward (about .5 mm) the the cushin fell into his place withoug any pressure. I had great fun assembling the seat as no surprises were...

The formers are cut out and I will start glueing soon. Just cleaned my workspace a bit and my "Me-Room" Was a real mess. I think my room needs some extra love the next days, I am switching from plastic modelling to papermodelling temporarily so I can gain some extra space for models since I...
