The 109 part is for the Messerschmitt BF-109, a German WW2 fighter. The TIE is for a Star Wars TIE fighter.

The G former (see yellow arrow) is placed just behind the tabbed joiner strip (see green arrow). Former G2 (see blue arrow) is positioned in between formers G and H. Former M is placed on top of the G and G2 formers.
