Auriga docking platform 1/144 (Alien Resurrection)

Your model could be made and textured within Rhino 5.0, but those glasses, they could be made, but the texturing, Raytracing, etc. would require something else, or very expensive plugins, and the knowledge of how to use them, way past my pay grade! Again, I invite you to freely post your work in the Renders and Illustrations" section. I find your work most impressive. :)

Thanks Zathros! I think about to post some work - but mainly "personal" works. In other case I've to ask my clients for agreement to publish at this forum.

I just wowed alot around those photos, and I think I would never start to build this ship with this source material... The amount of details on this movie prop is so unbelievabely huge!
Betty v2.0 sounds really good, but it is allmost impossible to reincarnate this puppy without spending years on it..
Anyway, thank you guys for this thread, it is really awesome, keep up the good work!

sorry for the lack of updates here…a little bit busy at the moment…

I finished all template and their test build-up. Except the "conection arm" to the Betty.
I have to build the Betty further to define length and angle of the dockingport part.

so next updates at the Betty build up thread.

I know what you mean. I guess this assessment applies to all models which are based on a carefully fleshed out and hyper-detailed base. The trick is to simplify certain parts in order to keep difficulty and building fun in a balance. And to leave enough room for those who wish to super-detail their builds. :)

I think thre is enough on the present Betty to allow someone who is motivated to take it to whatever level they wish. ;)
