Can we change notification settings?

I have been setting up my watched forums (subscribed forums didn't come across in the move) but am getting instant notification every time someone posts a new thread, and possibly others. I've looked around and can't seem to find a way to change this. In the old forum I had these set to daily updates so I only got one message per day. Is this possible in the new system?

Hi Steve,

If you click on you name on the right hand side of the menu bar, you will get a drop down menu.
In this menu there is the option of 'Alert Preferences'. Here you can set everything on or off as you prefer.

I'm aware of that, but these oprions only allow me to turn alerts on or off, not adjust when or how frequently I get the alerts, so that doesn't answer my question. Is there a way to do that?

@sjsquirrel Thank you for bringing this up. I will look into it and (if need be) talk to the IT about it and see what all can be done.

Not a problem. I have already put in a request to the IT concerning this.

Or, for a one time fee of $56,00796.00 dollars, we can do it retroactive!............................I know what you mean SJS, I get notifications when people fart here!

It is definitely putting the kibosh on the soon to be implemented "Scratch 'n Sniff" interface!

I know it's only been a few days, and I'm just asking, but have you had any feedback on this? You're adding some great stuff to the Resource section today, but also to my inbox. I've "unwatched" most of the forums I usually watch because of this "feature".

Unfortunately that means I no longer get any notifications, so I don't get reminded to come here and see stuff like I used to, so I don't come here, but spend more time at the other forums I subscribe to.

I think you might want to impress on IT that this "feature" is a huge step backward and may just drive people away.

I'm just sayin'.

I will be talking with the IT (directly) very soon about this and seeing what we can do about this.
I am almost finished with transferring everything from the old platform to here (as well as some new additions from a few other designers that are allowing Zealot to host their models). So this will only be temporary.

One thing that you can do to get around seeing all of the uploads, is once you have clicked on the "New Posts" tab, look at the way to the right and you will see another tab that says "Recent Posts". Just click on it, and you will see everything that was posted recently.
