The legs on those A-team guys look like they've melted a bit already!
I could take the model down the exotic (yes, got the right word this time) pet shop. They have tank of scorpions, I could do a nice diorama with them.
I did come in and find the neighbours cat sat on the model. I don't remember the giant cat from the film, it must have been a deleted scene. It then sat on my unfinished thunderfighter :curse:
Here's a little cut-out George to keep everyone happy
5000 wow, I was happy with 500. One of the advantages of taking ages building the model. In theory if I take an infinite time to do this, I should get an inifinite number of views. Now that would be something
It's not taking time that gets you the hits, it is the model, especially the job your doing on it. I think you have done an amazing job, and you made a great model everyone wanted but was not available. Great formula for success!
I remember I used to watch this movie every time I could catch it. But could never remember the name of it. Seeing this build definitely brings back memories. Definitely gonna be a must have model. excellent job so far.
Hi Patron-zero, just got around to reading the book recently, after all these years. It's a good sci-fi read. Also inspired Judge Dredd Cursed Easth saga, if you are into you comics. Available as graphic novel, excluding burger wars due to legal reasons. A few of the larger take away food franchises took offence for some reason
Any way the wife was suprised when I didn't want to go shopping this close to christmas, so has a full day to enjoy myself on my own. that suddenly sound bad ops:
Here's progress, finally happy with missile turret and can get rid of various previous attemps.
And not the bit I've been putting off, joining the 2 sections. I had a thought of using a silver christmas knapkin for the joining cover, but realised it wouldn't stretch, so will be taking Zathros up on his suggestion on latex (some many months ago now), but then worked out it would more than likely pull the side of the cab in rather than just stretching the way I wanted it to, so have now gone to town on a bracing system. Possibly over engineered. I hope so, cause that means it will work. I can also use this as a structure to hang the hinges from. That's the plan anyway.
Oh and the plan is for side to side hingeing at the stage. I don't fancy building a universal joint out of paper
RB Will be finishing the thunder fighter once this is out of the way. It will need to be detailed as looks naked without it. Also gonna need some of them fancy glassess of your
That assembly looks excellent! It really looks like metal. Very impressive. The paper clip looks fake though, kind of ironic, painting it with grey paint would do wonders of covering the exposed parts with a piece of paper, but if it doesn't show with the covers you make, who cares!
