Some close-ups. Heavy laminations were used to replicate the details. The edges were painted with water colours. I strongly recommend to use gloves for this in order to protect your hands and fingers from getting painted (this idea came too late for me; my hands constantly looked as if I was digging for coal). Please note that you can see the laser emitter when you look straight into the muzzle. And yes, it is all paper (except for the clear sheet for muzzle)!!!

And some pics to see how the muzzle would look like if it were lit.

Phew, I hope that this compensates for the long wait. Now I have to make the instructions and then we can all go bash some Cylons! Till then, enjoy the pics!

Man, that is so awesome. When you can get in so close and the model still looks good, well that says it all! Incredible! :):thumb:

Thank you all very, very much for your comments. Actually, this is the second model I started here (the Landram was the first). I had a lot to learn and there were some really tough parts, but as RB said, patience is everything. I'm surprised at how stable the model is, too. You can shake it and even drop it to the ground without breaking anything.

This looks fabulous! Im wondering... did I miss something, I thought this was going to be posted when it was finished? Forgive me if I misunderstood or am being impatient, just curious.
