This model is really comig out great. I'd start looking for a plastic box to put over it for display so the "Dust" Bunnies can't find it! :)

Great work on this project so far. I really love the inclusion of the photo-etch radar.

Thank you, but I really dont work fast. The model is ready and the pictures that I show are just some pictures that I have took during the assembly of the ship.
I never had the intention of making a building thread and I needed more than 3 years to finish the Bismarck.
Now that it is finished I think that it should be interesting to show at least some pictures of the assemby before showing the complete model.

Keep it coming! But please save the pictures of the finished model for the grand finale!;)

If you have any more "unseen" pictures on other models in your archive please feel free to start a thread on them. We would enjoy them very much! :)

Now some pictures of the main cannons.
I had some problems in keeping all the barrels perfectly aligned. So I increased the a little angle difference between each barrell to give a little more "live feel".

You did a great job on all the parts that you showed to us. The Bismarck is one of my favorite war ships.

DKM Bismarck, and her sister, DKM Tirpitz, were two of the finest warships ever built, and both were doomed from the outset of war.
Outstanding job, if those barrels are rolled paper, I am truly in awe.

No. The barrels are metal barrels from GPM. At first I was in doubt if I should use the metal barrels or the paper barrels. But as I had some problems rolling perfectly some parts and already had the metal barrels I opted for the metal barrels.
