Hello and welcome to the forum! :)

Great that you have joined. I have moved your thread to the "Introductions" section because it fits better here. ;)

Thank you for posting some pictures of your current project. We have many Space 1999 fans here and I'm sure this build will attract them all. The station looks very good so far. Is it completely made of paper or did you use other materials as well?

Have fun and enjoy! :)

Hello and welcome you to Zealot!

I am glad to see that you have decided to join the forum! You have come to the right place for all things paper (as well as other mediums). Many of our members are HUGE SCI-FI geeks (myself included). SO, I hope that will help you feel more at home here.

You have done a great job on the Moonbase Alpha diorama as well as the main mission control building!

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, need help or advice. Please feel free to ask and we will do what we can to help you (or at least point you in the right direction).

When you start a new project, please post a build thread. Build threads are a great way of show off your work and skills. Not only that, but if you run into an issue with a model you can highlight the area that you are having problems with and we can offer you some suggestions on how to deal with them.

Once again, welcome aboard. I hope that you enjoy yourself here. I look forward to seeing your work.

Thank Rhaven Blaack for your help and encouragement. I will do so as i endeavour my projects.
Whats the best way to post build threads here?
You are more than welcome.
As you build your models, take photos of the different stages of the build. Start the thread of that particular model. Make a post about what the model is; if it is a kit, where you got the kit. Then upload the photos and make comments about what you have done with the components. Also, when you upload the photos, click the "thumbnail" option.
I would suggest looking at some of the build threads to see exactly how they were posted.

How can I reduce my file size to load on here?
You can download IrfanView to edit your photos and make them smaller as well as delete the metadata.

Welcome to Zealot Paperguy. That model looks plastic, and to read it is paper means that you are one heluva model maker. It's an awesome project, one I've not seen before, and it's coming out great!!! :)

I thought, "Ths looks too sharp in detail to be plastic, or vacuum formed. Only paper can bring out the sharp details. Excellent workmanship! :)

Beautiful representation of Moonbase Alpha. I also thought it was plastic at first look, it's so shiny. but as I looked closer I could see the sharp panels that only layered paper, or plastic card, can deliver.

Welcome Aboard Zealot, the hobbyists dream forum. Lots of discussion, and hardly any badmouthing, (Zathros will kick your butt if ya do).
