Which kind off glue is best to use. I see different opinions on the internet.
Is a glue used for wood also good to use?

PVA "white" glue is the standard. Many members also use UHU glue. Some also use super glue.
Personally, I use (for the most part) PVA glue. I do use super glue for small parts though.
Some people use wood glue with very good results.
I would suggest experimenting with what glues are available in your area. Just remember, with which ever glue you choose, use it sparingly. A little goes a very long way.

I use different variations of Aileen's Tacky Glue, Clear, Normal, and Fast Grab, then CA or Super Glue, and for clear pieces, Zip Dry, Lignin free glue.

As others have said, try a few, and see what you like.

Personally, I never use white glue, it gets into the paper fibers and can destroy any graphics that may be on the model. I do occasionally use Elmer's Construction Glue, as that stuff in tiny amounts, holds incredibly and does not saturate the paper. I stick with UHU Glue and Zip Dry for most things. Crazy Glues are very dangerous, and build up in your system, causing all kinds of maladies. I discourage people from using them at all. I do use UV. activated epoxies lately, which are quite incredible, especially for making parts, like making the shape of something in clay, then activating it with the U.V. light, and getting a perfect mold. I want to try making window panes, as this stuff dries so clear.. It would also be great for terminating Fiber Optic wire ends and dispersing the light.

I need to try that UV epoxy when I can afford some.

I use cleocol glue from the Cleopâtre brand available in France. It is a multi-uses DIY white glue which has the particularity of not wetting the paper and becomes matt when drying.

ZIP DRY is Lignen free (does not yellow), and completely non toxic. You can glue steel to paper with this stuff. I use UHU and Zip Dry alost exclusively, and now the U.V. activated epoxies. They work on things you think you can't make. Micheal's Craft Stores carries Zip dry. Very interesting stuff. :)
