1. I cant seem to load my videos. I posted them on imgur and it still wont accept the format I guess. I can try with my kindle fire, but the quality is lower.
So, now here I am with my next move.- Hook up the light boxes, [ rounded so they conform to the hull, the hardest part ] and then install the sec hull and nacelle strut supports. [simple coat hanger bent into shape.] Then the neck leds and the dreaded saucer section that I have been dreading all this time. for some reason my always turns out rippled. Yes, I have used cardboard, Yes, I have used Ron C's support rings. I'm trying foam board this time. kind of an upper and lower plate affair with pill cap spacers. I can only hope that'' fortune favors the foolish''.

Some say that the artist who made it destroyed it in a tantrum. I have seen pics of it in a story that they found it in a executive's garage who stole it, packed away in a box. They said there would have molds and such released for production. That was in 2009. Nothing has come forth, I assume that some multi-millionaire buys this up for his private collection. As of now, with the newly discovered pics and frame grabs, we don't really need it, as the polar lights kit, altho small, is accurate.

Well settled down to work on the RC 1701 recolor 200x enlarged this morning. The windows didn't line up exactly, enough to bother me so I cam up with a new solution. I reversed the page and painted the parts black except for the window. I think that the poster paper at the dollar tree would also work best for this size. All you have to do is cut it to size and you will bet about 6 pages per large sheet of white poster paper sheet. I knew this would be a year long project, but hoped it would be almost finished by Christmas last year, but no, this stuff is the reason why its a long term effort. Here is an example of the solution. so, print the front and then flip it over and print the back. I suppose I should make a colored mark to line up with the right side of the print chute so it gets printed aligned correctly. and remove the other pieces to save ink.

I know that I'm going to have to print out 9 more double sided pages for this new idea on how to stop light bleed on the RC1701200x enlargement. I don't want to. any ideas that might work? putting in a light box wont work due to the curves, I would have to be perfectly online in every window. fiber optics would require more work than it being worth it, plus with paper, the edges are malleable and will look bad. Not blocking means spot light flares all over the window area. painting the inside is a good idea, but then you get heavy clogged lines along the open window edge. I could lay in black paper strips for the inside edges and hope it doesn't look bad, if it does, then throw it away and print, counting the trouble as a learning experience. I would really like to hear from someone who might have a solution before I scrap the work I have done and start over.

I had a burst of energy last night, and started on this; a medium sized Romulan bird of prey [Rawen]. Also the aft end of the 1/1 Spindrift [GP]. I'm still thinking out the RC1701, what I want to do about the windows. Even at this large size, it will mess up the edge of the windows if I cut them out. I might just lay in strips around them in black paper, but that will also have light leaks.

The BoP looks great!

The other craft looks interesting; maybe a joint venture of the Federation and the Tholians or a Tholian ship that was lost in battle and refurbished by the Federation.

I believe it was a joint venture, Dr. Severen stole it with the space hippies to find Eden. there is an animated series of 2 epidsodes about a freighter named Aurora but the ship is different. It has a pretty good looking TMP Romulan bird of prey.

More loonyness about the led lighting on the RBOP. The episode Balance of Terror has Romulan colors on their uniforms being blue and purple, with a metallic steel.
I am looking for some black sticky back labeling, or packing tape to light block the inside hull of the RC 1701.
