Hey Revell-fan. I now do mostly Sci-fi stuff. But I have done architectural builds too. When we had an actual hobby shop in town (it left, dangit) I would do all kinds of things in plastic. Military, trucks, cars, planes, sci-fi (of course). I'm currently building Beroc's warhound. Just working on the guns now. I may post pictures...I don't think I'm very good, but I try. Oh hey, I did do a 2001 Discovery once. Lemme see here...
Oh and the cast of Kung Fu Panda! With the Trojan Rabbit and Eve making an appearance.
Dig the ancient turntable that I used for a stand! Seriously, that thing is old as hell. Bought it in 1977 or so. Still works too.
Wow just went crazy on some downloads! Well, only a few. Soooo glad I can download again. Thanks to all you admins! Gonna have to go buy more glue. And blades. And cardstock. And ink. And bandaids.

Seems like most of the old style walk in, hands on Hobby Shops are a thing of the past..at least anywhere that I can drive to! Shame..there were 3 within driving range just a few years ago..
2001 looks good..you managed to keep that long thing nice and straight!!

We have one left, and he's holding on. The kid is young, and his parents are helping him. He has a very strong R/C following, but sells a lot of "doo-dads" that are needed to make R/C planes, like metal stock, balsa wood, foam board, glue and pain, and quite a few amount of hinges that would work great for tank tracks!!

I build and design speakers enclosures. Have made electrostatic speakers from scratch. I have a pretty nice tube amp/pre-amp collection too. My H.H. Scott LC290 Laboratory Amplifier is my crowning jewel. It's a pretty rare amp. It has a Tube Bias control right on the front panel!! It is sonic beauty. I had it hooked up to a pair of Wharfdales, but have it stored now. I wish to replace the electrolytic capacitors. I won't touch any of the others as they give it the color.
I took this pic off of the net as my amp is carefully stored away. I can't find a pic of the Pre-Amp, or the FM Tuner. These are all Gold anodized, and I even have the original manuals that came with them. This amp will blow modern speakers if you aren't careful as it's frequency range extends far beyond what most speakers built today can handle. If they aren't running a protection circuit, the cones will push themselves out past the magnet trying to reproduce the bass tones, and Elephants may storm your house as the lower tones are infrasonic, but with the right speakers, you do "feel" the lower frequencies. My Miller-Kreisel sub woofer holds up well to this amp.

That - is beautiful! Oh how I remember tubes and giant power coils. The smell as they warmed up. Sure, they're nowhere near as good as modern electronics, but they kept you warm at night!
