Just dropping a quick note that a fellow model railroader developed a small DIY DCC system based on the Lenz/Roco xpressnet.
He also developed a simple throttle, a TCO and a computer-xpressnet adapter (similar to Lenz's computer-xpressnet adapter).
The system can read and write CV's, addresses up to 9999, has a 16 loco stack, and control F0 and up to F12 functions.
The project can be reviewed at
http://www.tinet.org/~fmco/lokmaus_en.html
I have been in contact with the designer and he has been able to revise the system based on help from others. If there is anyone out there with programming/microchip experience, please lend a hand.
Thanks!
