BLI Mikado lettering help

My boss has just given me a BLI Mikado, not to keep but to re-letter. (Beautiful engine BTW)
It is currently lettered for Pennsylvania and I need to fingure out how to remove the lettering off the tender . Anyone out there do this before? I'm thinking of trying letterset or solvaset.

Good luck Glenn. I posted a similar request over on Technical Q & A and no-one has answered it yet. I hope one of us gets an answer then we'll both benefit.

I already figured out the lettering removal. I wetted the lettering with microset and rubbed the lettering off with a pencil eraser. worked like a charm! Im re-lettering the engine for CPR , using CDS decals. My only problem now is, how do I switch this engine with one of my old Mantuas and convince my boss that the mantua is his engine?

:thumb: Thanks Glen. That's the way I've done it most of the time but I wasn't sure it would work on the BLI engines. As for your second problem, you're on your own there.
