    Sten MkII. Design Thread.

Hmmm...perhaps you might consider a Stirling SMG at some point in time. It was my personal weapon during my time in the Canadian Airforce, and gained some fame as the Imperial Stormtroopers sidearm in the Starwars trilogy ( stock folded and the 10 round mag ), twas also often seen in the 007 films.

    Enfeild L85A2 AR

My argument for the larger round in a nutshell, anything hit by a 7.62 bullet stays down and it will punch through cinder blocks and fairly large trees on its way. As for the model being illegal, being a printed work, wouldn't it be covered by the freedom of the press? ;-)

    Enfeild L85A2 AR

Just out of idle interest, isn't the L85 some oddball calibre? 4.5mm or something like that comes to mind for me. It's a very impressive build sofar.

I too wondered what were they thinking, when the Canadian Forces went from the FN to the M16. The 7.62 round is far superior to the 5.56 imo. Of course I expect that there were those saying the same about the FN when the SMLE was retired... Rick

    Post WW2 + Cold War

The Centurion would be a nice kit (although my head hurts at the idea of making umpteen tread links). Canada used them up until the mid 70s and I have heard that the Leopard I was not a huge leap forward over them, other than the fact that the Leo's were new and so more reliable.

    Someone has pirated Marvin!!!!

Sigh...Pirates suck, and I have to agree that the new format sucks too, of course imo the old (new) format wasn't too great either, I really miss the old Cardmodels. net and I would bet money that I am not in the minority.

    H.M.S Warspite

As I said just one of my pet peeves. Calling one of Her Majesties Ships, the HMS grates on my nerves. Think about it, doesn't "the Her Majesties Ship Warspite" sound at best awkward? Getting old and cranky I guess... :-)

    ZIS-3 / 1:16 / scratchbuild

After seeing that breechblock, and looking at the models I have completed, I think I'll just go sit in the corner and snivel for a bit... Very impressive indeed.

    Willys Jeep from Modelik

Very nice. I have a soft spot for the Willys Jeep as it was my flightline vehicle during a fair bit of my service in the Canadian Airforce. I had dragchutes stacked three deep on the hood, and in the back seat area as well as beside the drivers seat. Generally there was a Liquid Oxygen...

In Photo 119 you can see the pieces that compose each disc of subjection of the tire to the axis (I don't know its technical name). Hub is the word you are looking for if I am not mistaken. Rick
