    Track Cleaning

    I had the same problem. What cleans it for me is erasers from pencils. I even used the big 2 inch long erasers without the pencil part. and went over the whole track. I ran my loco in circles and when it slowed down I just passed my eraser over it and that was that! If it still wont come clean...

    Oh... Well somehow When I was trying to program it, it returned the error D nd and still actually programmed the address into the loco. I changed it to 44 without know I actually succeeded... I wasnt able to read back the current address either receiving a D nd error. Some reason it finally...

    Plaster looks too messy. What the thing with news paper? I never did it before but I assume you use glue water and newspaper.. Then maybe put grass n turf over it

    I didnt want to go to dcc forum they take too long to respond:oops: I got my zephyr today. I tried doing a readback of the trains address (factory set to 3) just to see if the decoder could be detected cuz it wouldnt run earlier. It got a "D nd" error, meaning the decoder couldnt be detected...

    I believe my next step is ballast if I am not mistaken. After wiring my track is ballast right? I am doing modern era freight trains. What is a good color, I think im looking towards a gray ish color, something not too dark but I dont know. I am open 100% to suggestions. What color/size etc...
