There are quite a few dead deer along the tracks this time of the year. I hate hitting them because it is an awful sound. Dim the lights and ring the bell usually gets them moving along. But on the Acela there is no time to react before it's too late, it must have been an ugly mess.

Gons are used to haul steel plates in unit train known as slab trains and also haul marble Because of the weight of these commodities they are not loaded up to the top of the gons.

I use MRC for both of my layouts. In the 13 years that I have been in N-scale I only had one fail and that was the dual track power pack. I still have the one I first bought back in 1995 and it works great.
