Hi all. Well, did a little more work on the shuttle. The wings this time. i decided to attach all the panels first before putting them together.
all the parts cut and ready to glueall 4 done. now the fun part of putting togther..
instead of using the rolled paper , i had some wooden dowels ( for roasting marshmallows ) that were the right size. cut to length and a prefect fit.
put the skins on the landing legs and attached them to the outer skin
thats as far as i got . next will be attaching the skin to the main...
sorry for not keeping updated. so i had a little booboo on 1 part ( thank god ). the pivot parts for the wings. the directions aren't very clear on how to glue togther. so i glued the strip to the "inside" of the joint. wrong...too thick, so the next one i glued strip to the outside edges.. now...
got a little more done. worked on the cockpit and the seats.. ohhh the seats.. real fun time cutting and folding.. oh i should have printed it out bigger.. lol
but its a good way to brush up on doing this stuff. been too long away from it.. here's the pics
ok guys n gals.. got a little more done . slow going for sure. just not feeling it but pushing myself to do this.. work on it a hour or two here n there. got the leg bays somewhat done and did the frames for the landing legs. i know, a little at a time. enjoy
you got that right Rhaven. the hard ones are the best to test yourself on. and they keep you focused. so far the hardest i've done was the Tokyo tower. i don't remember on how may times i wanted to ball it up and throw away.
well, got all the body frame pieces cut out. some are really thick and oh my poor fingers ..haha.. i forgot on how hard this is on the hands. and all glued together. i like the first line on the directions state.." the model is not simple to build"..hahah.. these are to best ones to do. love a...
