I am using Ubuntu Linux and installed CUPS pdf to try to convert the pdo files as I do not have the proper printer. When I print to the pdf, I get a blank image. Any ideas?

I've been using Ubuntu as my primary OS (win7 as my gaming os 
) since Feisty. I'm currently running Lucid. Anyway, I've never been able to get make Pepakura run properly under WINE. It crashes often. AND, like you, I've also tried printing to PDF. But unlike you, mine just crashed.
You'd probably have better luck running Pepakura inside a guest OS (e.g. XP) via VirtualBox. Then install a free PDF creator like PDFILL, and you're good to go.
