Walthers curved turnouts out of gauge

Walthers Curved No. 8

Dear MopacNut,
I was noticing your handiwork on the photo. I'm a bit curious on the inside curve rail modification. I can see that the turnout points are shown thrown for the inside curve and make flush contact on the outer rail. Perhaps it is lense distortion or do I sense that the points are not going to close against the right rail when thrown for the outside curve?

They seem to close OK. I've been running it on the layout for a couple days now, and haven't had any problems with it at all.

Well, at least when I remember to throw the turnout properly and don't foul it!
