Thank you all, I am doing this slowly as my foot starts to heal finally. I can walk to the bathroom without pain now, but if I try to walk much further, it starts hurting and swelling again. So I have to stay off of it as much as I can still...

The next step will be edge coloring, and putting the seat in the tub.

Micah found a mistake in the file. The front lights were covered by the nose flaps. This mistake was corrected. Everyone who had downloaded the file before this date may choose to replace it. Thank you once again for notifying me, pal! :)

You can see the mistake in this photo...

I had to reprint it anyway because of a baby incident, wand will use the original .

Got the main body tube cut out, pre formed, and the glue strip attached.
20220108_160301.jpg

and the cockpit tub installed.
20220108_171707.jpg

next will be closing the tube, and making the front insert.

I'm sure the baby wanted to get ready for a joyride, but despite all efforts the car was STILL a bit too small..! ;) :noteeth: :toast:

Micah, closing the nose is the trickiest part of the build. I screwed it up once because I did not pay attention to the back plate. During the first test I had to revise the texture on the nose. The issue was noticed after I had already closed the nose. I ripped it open again, assembled the revised nose and forgot to add the back plate. It was a pain to get this in but in the end I did it. This is the reason why you can see some wrinkling at the back and on the sides of my car. So the trick is to pre-shape everything thoroughly and add the joining strip. Then you attach the cockpit tub (like you did). Then attach the the top of the back plate to the back of the nose part. Work yourself carefully around and wrap the nose piece around the back plate. Tackle the side where the joining strip was attached, then the next. Leave the front open to insert a rod for applying pressure. ;)

Looking good! So how's the baby doing? I bet getting bigger and cuter by the day!
Yes much bigger, and cutting teeth, so slobbering all over everything.
20220109_150724.jpg

She is crawling all over the place, and my wife and I bought her a walker... she sits in that and just goes all around, till she hits carpet.

I went against the instructions here, I closed the bottom of the body first,
20220109_131703.jpg20220109_131714.jpg20220109_131721.jpg

Then added the back plate #36
20220109_134944.jpg20220109_134955.jpg

then made the front insert, and glued it in...

I know that I missed the alignment a little on the nose, but I'll color the gap and live with it.

Next will be cleaning up the seams, and edge coloring.

How adorable! She's so cute! I bet she is loving the time she is spending with you and Grandma. Wait till she starts walking around by herself and starts to run. Then she'll be able to help you out with your paper modeling and help Grandma bake cookies!

I won't be fast enough to keep up. It's looking like the wife and I will be taking her back to Georgia in March, when her mom goes to fleet training. Mom and dad can't afford 2 flights to japan in just a couple months, so we'll keep on babysitting.

I love that picture! :)

OK, you copied my assembly. Very well done! The alignment error is very hard to see, so nothing to really worry about. ;)

The Cylon bebblehead is what makes this model! Perfect addition from @Revell-Fan !!! GENIUS!!!

I'm sure you'll have fun with her in Georgia! I wish your daughter the best when she goes for her fleet training. So both of them are going to be in Japan serving together?
