Hi fans! :)

This one is a quickie. I needed a small but cute model to cheer up a good friend who had broken her toe. The tropical screech owl from Canon was perfect to do the job: one page, four parts, few glueing flaps and nice size.

I cut out the parts and assembled them according to the instructions:

No, that's no owl poo in the background but some glue spilled over my cutting mat! :D ;)

The model is really cute and fits in the palm of my hand.

The next day this cutie flew right to its new owner. My friend was fairly surprised and the model really brightened up her day. Mission accomplished! :)

The owl now sits on my friend's desk at her work. :)

That's really cool! Canon always has some great models. Some people I know have built the dolphin, orca, and blue whale models.

Thanks for sharing!

These model, while simple, are quite effective. They also have supplied a canvas that can be greebled much. The eyes, and feathers, by printing a couple of extra pages, can be made very 3 dimensional, as they have the outline of the feathers, you can overlap them, and make the model "pop". Make the head hinge, and you have a candy holder!! :)
