Here is my current build. The TIE Fighter from Ninjatoes (http://ninjatoes.wordpress.com/…/…/05/star-wars-tie-fighter/). It's far from perfect. I've been away from card modeling for many years and just now getting back into it. I completed an AT-AT and that went well. I am planning to build the Uhu02's Tie Interceptor, but I'm not sure if I'm gutsy enough to do that, just yet.

Thanks! I had some fold issues on those REALLY thin areas on the braces, coupled with the cardboard stock support behind that. :(
I'll work on glue cleanup too. I'm using that rubber cement-like "Zip Dry" - so I can just rub off any beading caused by the glue. I'll seal the whole thing in a non-yellowing archival varnish spray (minus the clear plastic areas) when I'm completely done.

I like it!! It's big too, which means I instantly like it. I am an avid user of ZipDry, one of the most under rated glues! :)

Yeah I'm just using Zip Dry on this one (except for when I overlayed the paper card over cardboard inner support in the solar-panel wings-for that I used Tacky Glue smoothed out evely). Love the stuff.

Anything that will stick a piece of metal to leather, then to glass has to be good! :)

hehe, oh definitely. I need to do more modifying. Besides I work as a VFX artist, so I create texture maps all the time. I want to start designing my own models soon.

I so envy you (at least your job that is). I would love to get into something like that (or even a foley artist).
Ever since I have gotten into this hobby, I have enjoyed adding additional detail and extra greebles to the models that I build (please check out the Detailed Thunder Fighter Project to see a sample of my work).

I am looking forward to seeing the models that you design.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!thumbsup

The new cockpit interior is finished and has been sent to Martin Saenger for review and release. So as soon as he has uploaded it, You should take a go at it and post a build thread.
I would love to see what version you would build and what all you would to to detail it out!!!
