So I have been lurking for a few weeks. Just figured I would say hi.
I am getting ready to set up a layout (DCC). Just having a hard time trying to figure out what to model it after. I like the new age stuff. Plus I have a 3 year old that likes switching things. She gets bored very fast if we don't move things around enough. I also want it to be realistic for my interest. I like to build my own stuff. I tried to download the CAD program to no avail.
I am thinking of a modern type layout. I want it to be about 3' wide and around 8' feet along either wall. I will need plenty of switching to keep the little girl entertained. Or something that she can do aswell.
I was kind of thinking about some sort of mining,logging,industrial type thing.....
