And a view of the other side . I also have the right side to redo as well. Arent I lucky . Yes I am looking forward to the diesal for a different type of operation.
But I do like Traction.
Actually I think the S.P. put pantographs on some of the switch engines they used on the P.E. because they needed the pantographs to operate the signals.
Nice shots of your layout Chris. I'm chuckling to myself here... it seems that while you've been trying to infect everyone with the Traction bug, you got bitten by the Deisel bug!!!
Be verrrrrry careful my friend. Next thing you know you'll be buying a Broadway Limited Hudson!!!!
I did have both running a few years ago , then tractionalised
the whole L/O.
But I like all R/W`s and missed having a few Diesals roaming around.
Hence the intrest in RS 1`s .
I have A Fair Banks Morse, RSD 5, GP9 and a few more S/W 1200 on a shelve all ready for reinlisting on the section.
For your own attempt Chris, this looks like a large layout. Quite a challenge. How big is the layout? From its size you can understand why I thought it was a club effort.
Hi Robin, My L/O has one side 22ft long two levels at the bottom end it is 9ft across, then 8 ft finishing with a 3ft duck under 56inch of the floor
Thats where the last three pics were taken.
There is a lot of overhead as you can imagine .
The lower inside area is where the retracking is under way.
