Thank you Rhaven.
I think these are the easy parts so far - will see whether the rest will be more difficult.

Also these parts easy to handle. Next the body part 2 and the connection of all these parts done so far.

Ok here we go a lot of pics this time.

The single parts are easy to build, but it takes time and patience to bring them together.
I think it is helpful to glue part by part resp. tab by tap. It does not help if you put the glue
on too many tabs - it does not make life easier. (especially by putting the body parts together)

This looks awesome! I can't wait to see any custom paint jobs... A Ralph McQuarrie concept X-Wing paint scheme, perhaps? Anyone? ;) :)

Thanks you for the concept paint scheme of Ralph McQuarrie. Interesting to see.

Next steps: nose.

The nose - I made it 2 times based on the following reason. The inner section of the nose was not good in a first attempt. The black non dottet lines are folding lines too.
Second thing I discovered is that the closing part of the nose does not have folding lines. See picture 4.
As always the second try is better than the firs one ;)

......and to finalize the body - the droid which is the co-pilot.
But... it is not part of the template. This is what I discovered first by looking the video.
So I found some material called Fimo which can be baken and this makes the material hard.

And this is my droid....

..it is ok - but not perfect - for the moment it is OK. But I am sure I will try a second time and I hope the
second try will be better.

Thx to all for the visits and the encouraging words.

@ BB droid - as mentioned it is ok but not good enough. Now my second try (uncoloured) and the next
paper parts.

@ Zathros you can't have your eyes everywhere ;)

So next parts. The second picture shows the correct glueing-sequence.

@ BB still the pure white version - still thinking with which colours to paint.
