Hi together,
to complete my Star Wars stuff, I also have the plan to build some of the droids.

This model can be found in the resources section.

This is a model I already built before, but I gave it away as a gift for my nephew.

The main problem of this droid, that nearly everything is round.
I you have experience with "water-forming" - this would be the perfect model to use this method.
I tried to do, but it totally went wrong - therefore this time without "water-forming".

The model is delivered with gluing-tabs. I mostly cut them and replaced them with gluing stripes.
I hope this helps to make the rounds more precise. We will see.

The main thing with water forming is not too much water, little actually, and you must make sure you have [igment ink, and non water soluable glue. coming out great! :)

It looks like you are off to a good start! I look forward to seeing how it turns out!
Me too ;-))

As already mentioned: I replaced the gluing tabs by gluing stripes.
New: I used wooden sticks to make the antennas.

You are off to a great start! Everything looks good so far!
If I may suggest, if you have something that has a rounded (or balled) end, go over the edges with it, to smooth the edges out. Everything should line up easier. and tighter.

Thanks for the tip. Tips, tricks or constructive criticism is always welcome.
Unfortunately I saw the tip too late. I already finalized the droid. But I will keep it in mind for the next round pieces to be formed.

Excellent! I too used glue strips on mine. Your last picture shows that the droid is not in scale with the others. BB9-E looks good beside R2, BB-8 seems a tad too big. Just a note. I like those comparison pictures because they show if something needs to be tweaked. :)
