Dr. Emil Holub was a Czech traveler who traveled to Africa in 1883. The expedition, which had 8 members + a native escort, set out from South Africa on 4 wagons pulled by oxen into the interior. The expedition had many difficulties, the whole expedition fell ill with malaria, while 2 members of the expedition died. As they progressed north, they entered the territory of hostile natives, one member of the expedition was killed and his head ended up as a trophy which was the end of the expedition, which returned back to S. Africa.
Dr. Holub returned home in 1887 after 4 years of traveling in Africa. He brought 130 boxes of natural history and ethnographic collections, which he exhibited in Vienna and Prague. The collections eventually ended up in the Museum of Dr. Emil Holub in his native Holice, which can still be visited today.

This spatial image captures Holub's journey at the beginning, when his expedition was still complete. I followed the same procedure as for the previous pictures - I made a cardboard box, sprayed it and put it on a classic photo frame. I used sprinkles on the bottom of the box so that the figures are not just stuck on a black background. On the back, I pasted the text from Mr. Kubel, which came out with the 3D image. This is the first picture by P.Kubel and certainly not the last. A few photos:

When you look at these in person, they look so excelent! Much better than a flat painting equivalent. ;)

The feast of St. Cyril and St. Methodius is a national holiday of the Slovak Republic, which is celebrated annually on July 5. It is celebrated as a reminder of the symbolic anniversary of the arrival of the Slavic missionaries Cyril and Methodius to Great Moravia in 863. You can read more about Cyril and Methodius here, for example:

I came across this picture by chance on a website where you can buy nativity scenes (the author herself drew several nativity scenes). As a box, I used a box from a tablet that I sprayed, cut out a window into which I pasted the foil and the background inside, I made the figures about half bigger. After sticking the tab, it can be hung on the wall like a picture. A few photos:

A galleon is a type of sailing ship of Spanish origin, used in the 16th and 17th centuries for military and transport purposes. It served in the naval wars between England and Spain. (source wikipedia)

Another picture by Přemysl Kubela, this time with a ship theme. I did the same as with the previous pictures - I made a box out of cardboard, glued black paper on the outside and put it on a classic photo frame. I adjusted the background size so that it would fit into the photo frame. I painted the inner sides with a brush and added a few ropes for the sails to liven it up. This is the first picture with a ship by P. Kubela, but certainly not the last. A few photos:

Half Hull ship models look fantastic in boxes like this. The Spanish Galleon shows this. Well done! :)
