Before you decide on those ski, know that the Soviets designed (and the U.S. too) ski's that fitted on the landing gear, and had ovals cut out for the tires. If the snow was deep enough, the skis would then take over. Good examples of these can be seen on the DC-3 aircraft. The skis must be very long. Check out pics below, these are more realistic than using the Viper skis, though if you went ski only, then the Pilatus Porter is the plane to look at. IMHO
