Finished this one a couple of days ago. If you're going to build anything in the month of July, especially around the 16th thru the 20th, then you just have to pay tribute to the first men to land on the lunar surface some 49 years ago.

I built this at around 1/32 scale so it topped out at just over 13 inches long. Enjoy!

Well those were sort of a matte white color if I remember correctly, but then again, everything I've built out of the bare silver cans ain't lookin' too shabby, if I do say so myself!

May have too look into that...

A little greebling with some paper, and a quick flat, or semigloss paint job would knock this out of the ball park, though I like the way it looks now!

There's always wiggle room for improvements and enhancements with this facet of can modeling that is for certain. I am only now just beginning to understand the possibilities of this new methodology for producing models...

Been away for a while. Had surgery on my back and I am still recovering from the two large incisions on either side of my spine so I have not been posting for a bit. Coupled with the lack of responses in this section, I decided to take a break for it for a bit.

However, I Just finished the Extra EA-300 for someone else built out of Red Bull and decided that I could at least share it here...

This is my eighth. Thirty days out and I'm battling with chronic back spams. No fun at all. Thankfully, I can still sit at my desk and work on these things to keep my mind off of it!

Sorry to hear about the spasms. It's something i have lived with for too many decades. Keep your hands and mind busy, and your back will follow, hopefully. All of your models look great, and you have brought a new facet of modeling to this forum that is fantastic!!

Yup staying busy and keeping my idle hands at work has been key. Despite the back spasms and leg tremors, I've kept at it. I've had these nifty Mellow Yellow cans for some time and wanted to test the feasibility of using them as some sort of a camo pattern. I modified my F-4 Phantom pattern as it did not account for that uniquely shaped nose cone in the previous iteration and also decided to roll all wings and control surfaces. The F-4 came out pretty cool looking, if i do say so myself!

So I'm up to more can shenanigans. This time its a combo Budweiser beer and bare aluminum Pitts Special aerobatic biplane. The manzanita tree out back got to drink the balance of the cans while I produced this little gem:

While I was finishing up this little beauty, the soda can elves returned from an excursion with 6 cases of these amazing cans. The product inside smells absolutely putrid and I still haven't figured out what the heck 'Space punch' is, but the manzanita tree about wilted when I poured some of these out at the base:

I am starting with the black cans as me thinks I smell a build originating from that galaxy far, far away....
