SLR Enginehouse Project

Now that the work area is finally set up and organized, its time to do a little modeling!

The new layout will feature Lewiston Junction, with the SLR shops:

The beginning, two front walls:

Front view, towards Lewiston Junction Road and the railfan parking area:

The end, actually it still needs some trim, lights, interior work platform, and a couple of big vents. Hoping to find a bunch of things at the train show tomorrow.

I will update this as I get more done!

Great work. Even though quite sterile, there's always been a certain appeal to pole barns. My favorite railroad, the Maryland and Delaware, has a single stall pole barn as it's enginehouse, yet another in a long list of modeling to dos.

thanks! It is kind of a boring building but it IS the SLR at Lewiston Junction - the center of the SLR universe! Hoping to find some big HO details for this today at the auburn train show, the stacks look pretty big compared to what I have in my parts box.

I was going to start the new layout in Groveton, NH, but I am thinking more and more about starting with Lewiston Junction....
