As many of you know my friend (and partner in crime) @Revell-Fan designed the model of Sherese's Deringer (from the two part BRTC25 episode "THE PLOT TO KILL A CITY") as part of the Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers Props collection.
It is a relatively simple model. There are only two sheets of parts and three pages of instructions (one of which is the cover/introduction page).
Here are the parts sheet.

I started with the clear acrylic "beam emitter". I used a thick sheet of blister packing (about 0.5 mm thick).

SO, to close up the pieces, I used Testors plastic model glue in the red tube (as shown).

Here is a very strong recommendation. BE VERY PATIENT with this. Glue all of the parts together and set it aside overnight and let it both dry and cure. If you do this first, you can work on the rest of the model and not worry about it until you need it. TRUST ME, you will get good result.
Here is what the beam emitter looks like.

While the beam emitter is drying, I have turned my focus on the rest of the build.
Here are the parts for the stand.

You can place the former most anywhere you wish. I like it in the middle of the highpoint of the stand.

The stand is complete.

Here are the parts for the internal formers.

The internal formers are assembled. I did glue everything in place, just for added strength.

Now on to the rest of the model.
Please stay tuned to your local Earth Directorate Broadcasting channels for further updates as they happen.
Thank you for watching.
