scratchbuilding materials

I've just completed a few plastic structure kits although still tackling the weathering
techniques and plan to start scratchbuilding specific buildings. Is their a good source for windows, doors, galvanized roofing etc.? Thanks, Jim

Jim, There are a lot of manufacturers of the supplies you mention. I recommend picking up a copy of the Walthers catalog.

Jim - Don't forget to check out Shamus' article in the Academy (there's a lot of good stuff in there!). It looks like a good "starter" project to get your feet wet. For the strip wood he refers to go to a hobby or crafts shop and get some 1/16"-1/8" bass wood.

Thaks for your inputs. I checked various sources and found the choice in window size coupled with the high price tag has confirmed that I need to scratchbuild all components. Thanks for your help, Jim
