i wanted to take a break from the Sulaco build ( just got into a funk with it) and try something different.
This is the 1/48 scale model made by Greelt Peterusma . i wasn't sure on how BIG 1/48 was till i built the first
F1 engine. after holding it -finished, i thought-- crapp, i got myself into it again..lol
here are the build pic's of the engines and the completed thrust section. enjoy

Your workmanship is as good as it gets. Period. This could not have been done any better. IMHO. :)

Wow, this looks great! :)

(P.S.: I have corrected the title of your thread, two letters were switched. ;) )

I like the symmetry and the "neatness' of all the parts. This is really excellent craftsmanship combined with a decent model = excellent results. :)

thanks zathros, the rest of the first stage is a little rough at this moment, not lining up right and not turning out round enough, but i'm doing what i can ...:)

ok, now on too the J2 engines. gotta make 6 of these- 5 for stage 2 and 1 for stage three. i am building all of them at once to cut some time. not as much detail as the F1's and also not as big. here's whats been done so far

now on this part made me say "ARRRGGGGG" quite a few times. very small rolls. and i mean small. had to use a scrib pin to get it. then the plans say to " roll some paper into a small tube to glue parts togther"....yeaa, right.. cut paper-fold-fold- and then shove it in and glue. wish my fingers were smaller...
