As I publish in my presentation the WoT designs are to my liking and my best works. This model I built a few months ago, I show them step by step so they know my way of building. I like to see reviews, opinions, advice, etc. I think that the construction processes are the best guide to learn and improve our constructive techniques. In my case, seeing the work of others significantly improves the quality. So here I present my first thread. The first photos show the construction of the helmet, consists of two pieces, reinforcements and several pieces that make up the sides. Always reinforce this stage with cardboard, recycled, 1 or 2mm to give rigidity. Nothing spectacular this part, just fold, reinforce, paint edges and join.

Now the train, here the thing changes, several pieces, wheels, rollers, chains, very entertaining. To join the rings I always cut the tab and put it behind, I do not like it to be over, so it is at the top and much better. The wheels always drag, it gives more realism to the model.

More than the taxi train. Some pieces that I guess would be something like the suspension I think. Setting the wheels, here you have to pay attention, the WoT designs have an effect of lights and shadows that give a 3d effect, according to how they are oriented. You have to imagine how the light of the sun illuminates, that is, from above, back or front and orientate the wheels all in the same way. This was not discovered, I was told, in M53 / 55 I did not perceive this and I was different. In the S-51 this effect is not, but a discoloration in the wheels.

[Caterpillars or chains. In these designs is simply a piece that bends and sticks in half. Mark each link to move a bit gives something more realismo.Utilizo a better system and allows you to give the whole look much more natural and realistic It is somewhat laborious but it is worth it. I found the system in a publication of a colleague who in turn saw it on the Russian VK page. First link is cut by link, the edges are painted, they are folded in half and they are As a guide or template I use a simple cardboard of 2mm, according to the width of the chain I put 2 or 3 common threads of haberdashery, well parallel, equidistant and tense. Then I simply introduce one half of the link below the threads, I apply PVA in the other half and I join one by one. It is simple, it is very flexible and we can place the chain as we think best.

As I went forward I found a problem. Where the shell is in the simple version, it is only a flat surface, in the detailed version it should have a well to allow more elevation angle to the howitzer. The drawings do not show this detail, they indicate it in the text that is in Russian.Tenia 2 options, leave it like this and subtract detail from the model or try major surgery: remove the base of the howitzer, fill the gap, cut the chassis, insert the piece underneath, close the chassis and place again the base. I decided for the latter and I succeeded. The change is remarkable.

Solved this part we continue adding details, support of the howitzer and other things that I do not know what its name is. I hope to be publishing well, I have a hard time understanding this (my computer skills are very poor)

A few more photos of the support. Then the howitzer, funny part, several pieces, the shooting chamber, the cannon, the hydraulic cylinders and other things. For cannon tubes in this scale the best is the common paper of 80-85grs, it is much easier to roll this thin paper.

I hope you like the S-51, it's an interesting design. Excuse me if the publication is a little sloppy, I'll learn to move here. Greetings, thank you very much.

Thank you very much! Very kind for your comments, thank you. I already have something printed in science fiction. In a few days I will begin to build. We will see that it comes out.
