Repainting Tiricks' figurines

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Here is the next figurine. Yes, it is the (TOS) Colonial Warrior (Viper Pilot).
Now, these figurines are quite easy to put together and can be made within a couple of hours (this is why everything will be posted all at once).

I started with the legs. As you notice, there are straps on the boot. There will be (both) brown and black boots (as both are canon).


Moving on the the body.


Here I have added the "quilted bib" panel on the front of the shirt, to give it a more realistic look.


Torso is complete.


Legs are attached.

Next up are the arms and jacket.

I have made the arms for (both) the shirt and jacket (for added realistic effect).


On this arm, you can (clearly) see the "BLUE" Squadron patch on both the shirt and jacket sleeve.


Here is the body of the jacket (with all of the "piping" detail added).

Here is the blaster and holster. I have attached the holster to the body. This is important to do now. Otherwise, if you add it after you attach the jacket, you can have problems.

I have added the jacket, attached the arms and shoulder pads. The good thing about the shoulder pads, is that the help to hold the arms in place.

Here comes the part parts, "ACCESSORIES"!!!
Here I have made the "Leg Board" (the graphic face plate is from Revell-Fan).



Here are the charge cartridges for the blaster.

Here is the helmet. Now I have added a bit more detail. There will be two types of eagles that you can choose from to mount on the top of the helmet (I have only posted one though).

Now, there is still quite a bit more work left to do. I will be making a Pegasus version as well. Revell-Fan is currently working on the piece for the helmet. Once all of the details are fixed, and I have made a female version as well, this packet will be sent to Tirick for review, approval, and upload to his site.

This is some fantastic work, I am in awe of what you have done with these. When I first designed them I wasn't certain how well received they would be, and I'm very happy to see you take the base design and actually do something with them. I've long moved away from actively working on them, although who can say if I'll go back. I've found it harder and harder of late to focus on modelling, even when presented with the time. But, as my kids get older, and start to (perhaps) take an interest, I might take up the mantle again. Until then, I'll just revel in your work.

Revell-Fan, that is some kind of awesome Viper helmet!

Thank you very much, Tirick! I printed mine on regular 160 gsm paper and assembled it without the flaps. Rhaven revised the eagle crest . The front plates of the accessories are rescaled versions of the 1:1 scale props which can be found in the BSG resource section.

It means a lot to me and Rhaven that you like what we have done so far. We still have one or two ideas which we will test in the near future.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have now made the Female Viper Pilot. Here are the photos.

Starting with the boot. Yes, they are brown. Both brown and black boots were used through out the series. There will be the option (to either have brown or black boots) in both templates.


Now onto the main body.


As you can see, I have added the "quilted" bib on the chest.


Here I have added the neck, legs, and belt.


Now for the holster.

Continuing on with the progress.

I have added the holster belt and the legboard.



Here is the main body of the jacket.



I have added the Languatron, the cartridges, and the main body of the jacket.


Here the "BEST FRIEND" that any true warrior can have, the Blaster.

Now to continue on with the arms. Yes, this figurine is from the Pegasus. I have decided to include both in the templates. That way, you can make a pilot from the Galactica or the Pegasus (which ever you prefer).
