How do you remove ties from standard Atlas track? I need to remove some so I can have the track in question flush with the base of my elevator. I tried google, but it just came up with crud and other such nosense. How do you remove ties?

take a pair of plyers, flip the track upside down, and snip the bottom of the ties so that only the rail remains in that section. That help?
