Zealot

I picked up a cheap copy of a great little book many years ago and never did much with it.
It is called "Great Paper Fighter Planes" by Norman Schmidt. ISBN 1-895569-77-X

It has a range of model planes from WW1 to the Phantom and Tornado.

Anyway fancied a quick no fuss build over an afternoon to break up the U-boat build.

So photocopied the parts template from the back of the book and glued them to cereal box card.

Only 3 index card size sheets of parts.

Simple build using laminations on the nose to add weight and reinforcement and an over size tail plane to compensate and give stability in flight.

The model has been designed well with care to produce a good representation and great flight dynamics.

It all goes together in an afternoon.

After glueing up, just need to add camber to wings. I just used finger pressure and did it by eye.

Then just a case of a bit of colouring in with the kids felt tip pens.

It fly great!
So simple and fun. Will have to try out some more from this book.
