I suspect the Garahbara customer is wondering if "they" take the benches in at night since there may be less traffic? I think he may want to "plop" his- can I say it- arse into a chair as he waits. BTW- Is that a candybar wrapper gripped in his hand, against his cloak (perhaps not wanting to litter- they must take in the waste baskets as well).
Nice tho- and I'm sure you're planning on adding all the details.

Woodie - great idea to post 'layout vs. reality' scenes. And your Garahbara station nicely captures the air of the real Casino station.
In another thread you pulled my leg by comparing Switzerland to a model railway. (Yep, it IS a small country - but it's practical: You have all the interesting spots together.)
Oh well, now I see, that Australia really must be BIG, when your "local" station is 40 minutes away. Or could it be, that your car is THAT slow?

Looking good Woodie. I like the idea of comparing model to prototype - especially cool that you've shot it from the same angle!
I don't have any photos to add here yet, but I hope we'll see lots more from the scratchbuilders among us.

Woodie - hats off to your modeling! Again you show us an excellent model which brings the 'dead' goods shed to live again.
My heart almost missed a beat when I saw the pic of the derelict old shed. My grandfather was a station agent of a Swiss railroad line - and I spent lots of my time on that station. Now your shed looks almost exactly like the freight house of that station. It seems that the statement "form follows function" really is true worldwide.
The Australian freight car at the ramp looks quite European with its rounded roof, as well as the bumper at the end of the siding. Only the water cistern and the windwheel in the background wouldn't fit into a scene near Berne in Switzerland. Otherwise I could imagine a little Ron sitting on the bumper and watching the shunting of the afternoon local going on...
Both Granddad and shed are long gone - but your pic brought up sweet memories of my childhood. Thanks very much, Woodie.

Now there is an idea for an upcoming contest... Prototype vs model. Take a shot of a prototype structure, loco, car, whatever, and a photo of your model.
