PM-1911 (.45 ACP) Pistol

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

As we all know, Christmas is just around the corner. Which means it is time to start thinking (and making) presents.
So with that being said, here is my latest project (and present for a friend). It is the PM-1911 (.45 ACP) Pistol (the classic version).

Here are the photos (and a few thoughts and comments) of this build.
(I know, this is not my usual SCI-FI type builds. Like I said, this is a Christmas present.)

I am starting with the slide.

Here are the main part for the main part of the slide.


The parts are assembled and it is starting to take shape.

I attached the bottom section of the slide.




Here is the barrel.


As you can see, I made the barrel more "REALISTIC".


Here is the bushing tube and cap.

I attached the front spring cap.


I attached bushing tube (with cap).


The barrel is slid into place.


The barrel slides freely.


The slide block in put in place.

Update

So begins the actual assembly of the gun itself.

Here are the side "frame" walls.




Here is the slide lock.




Here is the safety lever.




Here are a few more components


Now onto the assembly of the frame of the gun.

The frame is finished. Now for the rest of the components.


Here is the hammer.


The hammer is installed.
(I did attach (slightly) larger plates on the pin for the hammer so that it will stay in place. I did not want it to be removed.)


Here is the squeeze (handle) safety.


Squeeze (hand) safety installed.
(this can be removed if desired.)


Here is the finished slide and slide pin (which can be removed if desired).


Slide is in place.


Slide in the open position.


Now onto the magazine and the grips.
