It has been more then a month since I bought an engine.

I am still trying to decide on which DCC system (I am leaning towards Prodigy) and I am still working on my layout track plan.wall1
But I want to buy another loco.:twisted:
I am about the order a Bachmann FT unit (with DCC). They don't cost that much and that way when I do buy my DCC system I will have one loco that should run on it right away. All my other engines will need to be converted.
I don't care for any of the road names the Bachmann currently has for their FT units, so would eventually strip the paint and repaint either GN or SP&S.
Are all these FT units the same shell? E.I. it doesn't matter which road I start with before repainting? Would it be easier to strip a light colored loco (IE BN) for the repaint?
Is there a better fix without spending a lot more money (I don't think that I want to fork over for a Stewart, I still need to by the DCC system when I make up my mind.):thumb:
I am also pretty sure that I will be buying the Spectrum passenger cars (GN), but I will be waiting until I need my next fix.
Any suggestion or recommendations?
