New airbrush, need compressor

I finally broke down and bought a cheap [really cheap, 8 bucks] air brush. I am now looking into getting a very quiet compressor if one exists.
It only needs to be between 15 and 35 PSI.
I know nothing about this so all help is appreciated.

Stephen...I presume it is a small modeling airbrush. There are many small compressors - check out Micro-Mark. Just be sure to get one with an air tank, even a small one, so you don't work directly off the compressor.

Stephen....I use one like this....it is about the cheapest I've found and it has a 3 gal tank....at some point you can buy a larger portable tank, fill it and use the air noislessly indoors....yee haaaaa!

Gus, thanks, I am leaning towards a large tank as it will only have to fill once or twice [I assume] and therefore make less noise. Thanks for the hint

I worked for years with a compressor which came from an old fridge...
costs nothing if you can find one..

You mention quiet as one of your wants. All diaphragm compressors are noisey, but one made from an old refrigerator or window a/c compressor will be the quietest. Make sure that you use an oil separator, or you will be repainting a lot! Another option is the conventional piston type air compressor. Durable, but usually bulky and heavy for hobby use.
