Western Railway Museum, Rio Vista Junction

Hello All,..

I thought I would provide a link to the "Western Railway Museum at the Rio Vista, Ca. Junction". There are alot of interesting pieces of equipment here and may help in some of your efforts.

If your ever in the bay area of San Francisco, check it out and get a ride on these on the few miles of track they own. When my sons were young, we would venture here and have picnics on the grounds and ride all day.

I am a great fan of the WRM. I live in Sacramento, and recently completed a book on the Sacramento streetcar system based largely on the photographs and research materials found at the Western Railway Museum (in fact, profits from the book are being donated to preserve WRM's Sacramento cars like the SN Birney.) The collection is pretty spectacular, and in the next year or so they will complete their latest car house which will allow them to display more of their collection. Their research library is pretty great too!
