I enjoyed making it, although it was a quickie. At the moment I am working on something a lot bigger. When the time is there I'll post the start of the build.

Gee, let me guess, replicating this model with Ton Noteboom's 1/96th scale Saturn V and a poster-sized picture of the Florida coastline...
Amazing !!! this tiny paper model of different separeted parts of Satune V is very beatifull . I build a 1:48 version .... But this one, in scale 1:585 is very interresting !

Yogi (a.k.a. retired_for_now) has designed a nice LRO/LCROSS model in 1/48 which I wanted to mate with its launcher. There's no model available of an Atlas V 401 so I'm researching its measurements at the moment to scratchbuild it. Haven't started yet, though. However, there *is* another little diorama pending. Everything for it is already printed and awaits construction. But I first want to do some other stuff. Don't wanna keep repeating myself.

Very good presentation of a flying launcher ! I'll use it to present Multi satellites in show flight ! thanks !
These dioramas are very good idea for presentation of the different parts of a launcher a long an flexible iron thread . Generaly, they are layed in separeted parts ...it is not very aesthetic !!

In my opinion you should try and keep reality close by, so a next staging should be made into another diorama...
Oh, and Jean-Paul, in most of the hobby or modelling shops you can find these brass rods in thin diameters. These are reasonably rigid and do not bend too much from themselves.
In this case I used brass rod with a 3/64 inch diameter. (1,45 mm)

Naked electric copper rod will work fine,I think. It might be a bit thick for the smallest scales, presumably.

Thanks for the compliment ! we are not very far from Paris ..... only 9 h on flight ! and 10 000 Km. but not many modelers here, all spetial stuff must come from France ! it's not very easy ! by luck I have the Net !
