Minecraft Ender Dragon Build

Here is one of my first paper craft builds. The Ender Dragon from Minecraft.

Originally, I was going to do the dragon from Fiddler's Green for a Christmas present for my daughter but I gave up after building about half of the parts and they wouldn't fit together. That, and the lack of good assembly instructions tried my patience to the point where I decided to search for another dragon model to do. My wife helped me to find this one and the Game of Throne paper craft dragon, Drogon. I chose this one due to it relative simplicity and knowing the GOT dragon would take me a lot longer than a week to do.

The dragons are available through this site:

I should be done with the Ender Dragon by tomorrow. I'm currently assembling the body as shown in the pictures below, and have some more parts to cut out.

I have some other models printed out that I want to start on soon and will do build threads for them too.

So far so good. Here are more build pics. The upper body, the head, and the wings. All are pretty much done except for some scoring to do on the wings. Simple enough, but I haven't quite figured out how to attach the wings to the ''wing bones'' which allow them to move as if they were flapping.

Then after this, I'll be attaching the scales (or frills) to the dragons body. Very repetitive and somewhat boring. So, all in all, progress is good and I should finish this beast tonight.

The final build pics for the Ender Dragon. The Ender Dragon is finished!

I think my daughter is happy with it and likes it.

Here are a couple of pictures of the first paper craft models I did this month. I enjoyed doing the dog automata which was actually pretty simple to put together. The cutting out of the pieces and glue drying time took the longest though.

I did a couple of mini (baby) Ender Dragons too. They're basically Chibi versions of the dragon. Cutting out the parts took the longest but once that was done I had them put together in only a couple of minutes minus the glue drying time.

Next up is probably some aircraft models. Though I'm tempted to try Zathros's Tupolev Air Sled model!

I'm also itching to work on designing a few of my own models. I'm thinking about doing a Bugatti T50 Classic Car model. In essence, one of my dream cars.
